Theme parks
Okay, let's state the obvious - the majority of visitors to the Orlando area are here for the world class theme parks.
There are many to choose from catering for different needs and budgets.
​
Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Legoland and a whole host of water parks from 20 minutes to just over an hour away.
​
Not quite a theme park but one of the best days out in Florida is Kennedy Space Center, it has to be seen to be believed.
Golf
Florida is home to some incredible golf courses. Our villa is close to some of the best within just a 5-10 minute drive.
​
Local courses include Champions Gate, Reunion, Highlands Reserve and Polo Park.
Shopping
You really can shop til you drop in Central Florida. An amazing selection of shopping malls, outlets and markets...there is something for everyone.
Locally we have Posner Park, less than 10 minutes drive, new shops and outlets opening all the time.
Further afield, try Premium Outlets Orlando, Florida Mall and Mall at Millennia.
Fishing
Florida has a lot of lakes! Bass a-plenty of course and lots of other species to target. And then there's all that coastline with some of the best inshore and deep-sea fishing on offer, anywhere on the planet.
Angling heaven.

Beaches
Fed up with the parks, fancy a change? Florida has some incredible beaches within a short drive, Why not take a trip, don't forget your bucket and spade!.

Clearwater on the Gulf Coast and Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic are two that we recommend.
Parks, walks and more
There really is something for everyone in Florida. Beautiful gardens, national parks and unique wildlife. Winter brings Manatee into the springs in large numbers, some of the best are within an hours drive. Blue Spring State Park near Deland is our pick.

For gardens, Bok Tower is very close and Harry Leu gardens are just north of downtown Orlando, near Winter Park.
